Aggreko has introduced three Tier 4 Final diesel generators built specifically for remote Canadian work sites, offered in 145 kW, 210 kW and 1200 kW 600V capacities. The units are available exclusively to Canadian contractors, the company said.
The generators are configured to meet Canadian electrical and fuel regulations. All three models are CSA and UN31A compliant, and Aggreko says they are designed to meet and exceed local market requirements while drawing on the company's latest generator technologies to provide low-emissions power for a range of commercial and industrial applications.
Onboard 600V output on the largest unit
The 1200 kW model carries onboard 600V capability, which Aggreko says eliminates the need for additional step-up transformers. According to the company, direct 600V output reduces project complexity, improves cost-efficiency and reduces potential points of failure — an advantage it expects to matter most for large industrial loads where 600V is frequently required.
“Tailoring our most advanced generators for our Canadian customers underscores the importance of this market for Aggreko,” said Paul Nascimento, managing director for Canada at Aggreko. He pointed to large petrochemical and mining industries that need power across vast and remote territories, alongside thriving construction and data centre sectors, as drivers of Canadian demand for engineered energy solutions that are both powerful and precisely configured.
Canopy units and fleet range
The 145 kW and 210 kW models are canopy units set up for ready deployment against immediate energy needs, while the 1200 kW model is positioned for large industrial loads. The additions extend Aggreko's Canadian fleet, which covers a range from 25 kW to 1200 kW.
Deployment runs through Aggreko's network of Canadian service centres, where the company's energy experts work with customers in sectors including data centres, construction, oil and gas, mining and events to set up temporary power for a variety of applications.
Emissions, noise and off-grid demand
Aggreko says all three generators provide fuel efficiency, ultra-low emissions and significantly controlled noise levels that surpass local requirements. The company also points to Canada's expanding data centre industry, where provincial regulators are looking to limit how much power operators pull from the grid. In that setting, the Tier 4 Final units are presented as off-grid energy that keeps facilities operational with minimal disruption to communities.
Aggreko said the three models pair its current generator technology with hardware tailored to the requirements of operating in Canada, and that the lineup is supported by its Canadian service network.
