Apollo Tyres Ltd's board has approved unaudited consolidated results for the second quarter and first half of the 2026-27 financial year, with revenue from operations for the July-to-September period reaching Rs 7,968 crores, 17% higher than the Rs 6,831 crores recorded a year earlier, the company said in a statement issued after the board meeting.

Operating profit for the quarter came in at Rs 855 crores. Net profit rose 13% to Rs 292 crores from Rs 258 crores in the same period last fiscal. The company said the quarterly profit figure includes an estimated pre-tax restructuring cost of Rs 26 crores, disclosed as an exceptional item.

First-half results

For the six months from April to September, consolidated revenue from operations reached Rs 15,366 crores, up 15% from Rs 13,392 crores in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal. Operating profit for the half year was Rs 1,723 crores, and net profit closed at Rs 641 crores, more than double the Rs 271 crores reported a year earlier. The same estimated pre-tax restructuring charge of Rs 26 crores, booked as an exceptional item, is reflected in both the quarterly and half-yearly net profit.

The company said its Indian operations carried their revenue growth momentum into the second quarter, which it linked to the effectiveness of its growth initiatives. Both the quarterly and half-yearly figures were presented on a consolidated basis, combining the group's operations.

Chairman's comments

Chairman Onkar Kanwar said growth across categories in India had been supported by sustained rural expansion efforts and the company's strategic association with cricket. Product launches in the Indian commercial vehicle segment also strengthened performance during the past quarter, he said. Kanwar flagged geopolitical tensions in West Asia as a continuing headwind, which he said had resulted in elevated input costs and supply chain disruptions.

New finance chief

The board separately approved the appointment of Ravi Kumar Shingari as chief financial officer, effective November 4, 2026. Shingari joined Apollo Tyres in 2018 as group head of finance and has held responsibilities spanning budgeting, accounts and investor relations, with legal added to his remit more recently.

Before joining the tyre maker he spent more than 16 years at KPMG, where his last assignment was as partner for tax and regulatory services. He is a chartered accountant and holds a bachelor's degree in commerce (B.Com (Hons)) from Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi University. In the CFO role he will report directly to Neeraj Kanwar, vice chairman and managing director.
