Landscape Forms has relaunched SHUFFLE, a modular smart-pole system that combines Wi-Fi, cameras, sensors, two-way communications and electric-vehicle charging in one vertical structure. The company says the platform is intended to help municipalities, campuses and commercial developers expand site functionality without adding visual clutter or additional cost.
The relaunch responds to a familiar pressure in public-space design: sites increasingly rely on separate pole-mounted sensors, cameras, lighting and connectivity equipment, even where space is limited. Landscape Forms positions SHUFFLE as a way to consolidate those capabilities into a single adaptable system. Its modular components are designed for customization and future updates, while the integrated form is meant to bring a more coherent appearance to busy, multi-use environments.
Landscape Forms has also introduced a build feature on its website to simplify configuration. According to the company, clients can specify preferred camera and technology brands and select from a range of options within each category. That configuration process is part of the relaunch’s emphasis on matching the pole to different site requirements rather than treating all installations alike.
New plug-and-play options include a 360-degree area light, a decorative light ring, a 180-degree area light, quad-view and 180-degree cameras, motion sensors, and loudspeaker and intercom modules. The modular design can be configured for specialized environments as well as general public spaces. Landscape Forms lists potential applications including university and business campuses, airports and commuting hubs, shopping malls and tourist areas, concert halls, city parks, sports venues and hospitals.
The options address lighting, camera coverage, motion detection and voice communication, giving designers a menu of functions that can be combined according to the site. The list is not a single fixed package; configurations can vary by site.
Shannon Lee, business development manager for smart poles at Schréder, described SHUFFLE as a solution site designers have been waiting for. Lee said the system is designed to fit busy public spaces with product and feature sets that can be updated as site needs evolve, adding safety and connectivity without letting the equipment dominate the outdoor setting.
Jordan Agustin, president of lighting at Landscape Forms, said SHUFFLE represents technology and design working together to make outdoor spaces safer and smarter without compromising aesthetics. He said the new features are integrated into SHUFFLE’s streamlined design to enhance the beauty and functionality of outdoor space while advancing the company’s mission of connecting people to the outdoors and to each other.
